Ship for the floor before perfection — MVP principles we use

July 7, 2026

MVP—ship the minimum, learn, improve—is nearly common sense in startups.

In the field, “minimum” is hard. Leaders want more features, staff feel misfit with today’s ops, builders eye future extensibility. Teams start large and end with unused features months later—we’ve seen the pattern often.

sorena designs for the “minimum that runs on the floor.” In scoring systems, linking answers to questions and fitting return rhythms often matter before model accuracy. If that fails, advanced features don’t matter.

We also treat MVPs as learning devices, not unfinished products—designed for feedback and short improvement loops so people feel they grow the system by using it.

Better to learn on the floor than wait for perfection. Small starts that grow together are how Japan-rooted products get built.
